Cha-cha-cha-cha-changes.....

Nerdy Girl has been awfully tired lately and not up to doing much crafting of any sort.  I managed some new goat milk soap with apple and vanilla scent, which is scrumptious and made some cold porcelain dough and cut out a few things with the Little Man, but most of the dough remains in the fridge in a very uncreative lump.  There is a very good reason for this.  I started a proper job.  Yes, me, back writing in time sheets and having money deposited into my account from one of those .. um... what-ya-call-its...  Employer-thingies.  It's a great job, a great employer/employee situation with enough flexibility for looking after the kids on my own, as I tend to do.  It just doesn't leave me with much energy for making a whole bunch of things.

Another change happening is that I will no longer be participating in the store at Bakklandet.  New management has moved in, along with new products that just sort of leave me feeling a bit 'meh' and due to these changes many of us 'old school' crafters have left the shop. In fact, out of the 10 of us, only three stayed. It doesn't make sense to give up a paid day of work to watch a shop that is charging more for fewer opening hours and less space, and all the extra work expected on top of it, and, to boot, I really dislike double standards.

So, internet presence only now, so I had better learn how to do this better.  Including videos, personal tutorials and not just reposted ones from other sites.

Easter is fast approaching.  Egg themed soap is tempting, but I would like to get a start on the range of soaps I have had in mind since about Christmas.  My range of soaps for Spring will be based on fresh herbs.  Now, it is just a matter of finding the time and energy.
